Personally, I don't see what the problem is, if you asked anyone if they regretted buying the game then more than likely they would say no. Valve's current updating system is probably the most generous around, making little or no profit for doing it; the update they would have released would have been huge, with so much more content. So, yes, it deserved a whole new game.

Besides that, Valve have also said they will continue to update the original L4D alongside the new one so... Yeh... Less qq, moar pewpew.

I told you guys at the start they wouldnt.

Thats not to say that I dont think they shoulda given us more content though :(
